Among several important projects that Trasing carried out for the account of D Express from Belgrade, we now write about the significant among them – the project that won the award for the BEST Logistics project in the 2017 year in Serbia, at the annual SLA / Serbian Logistics Association conference. It is a project of installing a system for internal transport, handling and sorting in the main logistics hub of the company D Express. It is the market leader in express day-to-day delivery. Statistics tell us that this company holds the cake of 25% of the market for legal entities in these services, as well as 20% in the field of work with individuals.
The awarded prize for this project did not happen by chance because with this project Trasing installed a solution that neither technologically has been achieved yet nor surpassed in the national ramework. A completely automated system that simultaneously (at the same time) from 20 vehicles accepts shipments of all shapes and sizes, up to 50kg in weight, pours them into the transport system and then prepares for sorting and distribution to the final destination. The system is capable of sorting shipments to 50 different destinations, with a capacity of up to 5,500 shipments per hour.
Colleagues from the company VanRiet / the Netherlands which participated as a manufacturer in this project had only words of praise for the partners from Serbia. According to their words, such as speed and precision in the work shown by Trasing on this project is rare even for their notions.
